Seeking expressions of Interest (EOI) from institutions to impart Skill Upgradation Training to prospective emigrant workers of Kerala

Norka-Roots, a Government of Kerala undertaking under the Department of NORKA invites Expression of Interest from reputed institutions to offer Skill up-gradation training programme to prospective overseas job seekers in Kerala.

This programme is implemented in Kerala with the assistance of NORKA Department, Government of Kerala to upgrade the skills of its young workforce to meet the challenges of future needs in the overseas employment market. Target beneficiaries will be the existing workers in various trades, ITI passed students and other and prospective jobseekers who have undergone various trades/packages which are in demand in overseas employment market.

Institutions are invited to conduct the following courses:

• The institution providing training must have minimum 3 years experience in imparting Skill up-gradation training.
• The Training programme will be of 3 months duration with 30 trainees in each batch.
• The course fee allotted is Rs. 5000/- per candidate. Out of which Rs. 1000/- is payable by the trainee and balance Rs. 4000/- is incurred by NORKA Roots.
• The selection of the training institute is up to the discretion of the CEO, Board of Directors and Government.
• Government aided institutions/agencies will be given priority.

Interested agencies/institutions like ITI, ITC, Polytechnic Colleges, Engineering colleges and reputed training institutions both in private and public sectors may download the prescribed application form from the website www.norkaroots.net and submit their Expression of Interest including information which will demonstrate their capabilities and experience by 31st August 2011 to the following address:

Only selected agencies will be communicated for imparting training requirements or for further details. Norka-Roots reserve the right to accept or reject any or all of the applications without assigning any reason thereof or stop the process of approval at any stage, at its sole discretion.
